Their second generation Potentia Shore Power Converter takes a land-based electricity supply and converts it to the required voltage and frequency your vessel needs. It can also regulate the supply at the same time, providing reliable non-flickering, non-peaking/spiking electricity, protecting sensitive on-board equipment. All this gives the option of seamless transfer between on-board generation and ship-to-shore connection.

Systems which allow a boat to accept shore power at varying frequencies and voltages offer owners the ability to hook up to power supplies across the globe. The Potentia Shore Power Converter offers the following.

Connected power range from 190v to 500v
Shore power is transformed to your vessels needs.
High start-up power to counterbalance peak loads.
Standard seamless transfer from shore to generator and generator to shore. Eliminates blackouts and fluctuations on transfer.

The Potentia Shore Power Converter is truly modular. Its power conversion electronics are housed in conversion modules called Power Conversion Modules.

PCMs are interchangeable and replaceable, giving consistent service and simple repair.
In the unlikely event of failure, the Power Slice technology ensures the system will continue to function.
Spare Slices can be kept on board or express despatched from Ammset.
Slice technology reduces the cost of replacement or repair. Power Slices can be returned for repair and shipped back to the customer.

Weight considerations are of great importance to boat builders and owners. The same is true for equipment size. For passenger comfort noise must be kept to a minimum. The Potentia Shore Power Converter delivers results in all three areas.

System weight is reduced with the use of lightweight materials and advanced Power Slice technology.

To ensure efficient, trouble free operation the Potentia Shore Power Converter logs and records all the information you require on shore and on board power.

System records and monitors frequency, consumption, overload and overheating.
Has a ModBUS port for remote information access.
Operation and monitoring can be integrated into most vessel management systems.
In unit alarm function can be linked to an audible/visual signal.

Transformers are sold and can be installed separately with the full Potentia Shore Power Converter being fitted at a later date.

Gives the option of a future upgrade to the full converter system.
Upgrade takes only two days labour.
Retains the same footprint, only requirement is extra height.
Enhances the resale potential as system is upgradeable.
